Chico Jujube (G17-62) “Chinese date.” Round, flat-bottomed, sweet fruit of medium size. Partly self-fruitful. 200 hours. USDA Zones 5-9.

Pink Lady® Apple Hot climate apple from Western Australia. Very crisp, sweet tart, distinct flavor, good keeper. Skin reddish pink over green when ripe. White flesh resists browning. Harvest begins late October in Central CA, about three weeks after Fuji. Self-fruitful in many western U.S. climates; pollenizer recommended for best production. 300-400 hours. USDA Zones 6-9.

Red Fuji Apple Redder skinned bud sport of Fuji. Sweet, very crisp and flavorful, excellent keeper. Ripe September-October in Central CA. Excellent pollenizer for other apple varieties. Self-fruitful. USDA Zones 5-9.

Blenheim (Royal) Apricot All-purpose freestone. Sweet, aromatic, flavorful - the long-time No. 1 apricot in California. Early bloom. Late June harvest in Central CA. 400 hours or less. Self-fruitful. USDA Zones 7-9.

Moorpark Apricot Long-time favorite of apricot fanciers for its exceptionally rich flavor and aroma. Reliable producer. Used fresh and for canning. 600 hours. Self-fruitful. USDA Zones 6-9.

Hosui Asian Pear Consistently rated the best-tasting Asian pear at Dave Wilson Nursery fruit tastings. Large, juicy, sweet, flavorful, refreshing, crisp like an apple. Brownish-orange russeted skin. Harvest early to mid-August in Central CA. 300-400 hours. Pollenized by Shinko, Chojuro, Bartlett, or 20th Century.

Bing Cherry Large, firm, juicy, sweet, nearly black when ripe. Superb flavor, the No. 1 cherry. Midseason. Large vigorous tree. Pollenized by Black Tart, Van, Rainier and Lapins. Also Stella in colder climates. 700 hours. USDA Zones 5-9.

Rainier Cherry Large, yellow with red blush. Sweet and flavorful. Very cold hardy. Midseason harvest. 700 hours. Pollenized by Van, Lambert, Lapins, Black Tartarian & Bing. USDA Zones 5-9.

Green Gage (Bavay's) European Plum Superior selection of gage-type European plum. Small to medium-sized, richly flavored & very sweet. Excellent fresh and for cooking. More productive in moderate winter climates than common Green Gage. Originated in Belgium in 19th century. Estimated winter chilling requirement 700 hours. Self-fruitful.

Multi-Bud Fruit Salad, Cold Hardy, Polly-Hrkn-Hrko-Hrct-Supr Polly White Peach, Harken Peach, Harko Nectarine, Harcot Apricot and Superior Plum budded onto Citation rootstock. Finished trees include 5n1's plus assorted 4n1's and 3n1's.

GA 866 Jujube “Chinese date.” Outstanding, two-inch elongated fruit is exceptionally sweet with apple-like flavor. Ripens mid-autumn. Partly self-fruitful or pollenize with another jujube. 200 hours. USDA Zones 5-9.

Honey Jar Jujube “Chinese date.” Extremely sweet, small to medium sized round fruit. Compact tree-form does well in drought conditions. Party self-fruitful. 200 hours USDA Zones 5-9.

Cooke's Pakistan Mulberry (Morus alba sp.) Selection of Pakistan mulberry. Very sweet fruit to 5 inches long. Heavy bearing beginning in early July. Self-fruitful. Estimated chilling requirement 200 hours. May not be reliably hardy in zones colder than USDA Zone 9.

Donut (Stark Saturn) White Peach Also called Saucer or Peento peach. Unique white-fleshed fruit with a sunken center (shaped like a doughnut). Sweet, with a mild flavor described by some as almond-like. Ripens late June/early July in Central CA. Estimated chilling requirement 200-300 hours. Self-fruitful.

Elberta Peach Famous yellow freestone. Classic, rich peach flavor: high scoring in taste tests. Use fresh, canned or cooked. Ripe late July/early August in Central CA, up to 3-4 weeks later in colder climates. 600 hours. Self-fruitful.

Bosc Pear Long and narrow shape, brown skin. Superb quality, one of the best. Harvest late October. Use fresh or cooked. Susceptible to fire blight in warm, moist climates. 500-600 hours. Pollenized by Bartlett or other pear.

Emerald Beaut Plum One of the highest-rated plums in blind fruit tastings at DWN. Light green skin, greenish-yellow to orange freestone flesh. Harvest begins late August in Central CA. Ripe fruit continues to sweeten, becoming exceptionally sweet, but remaining crisp and crunchy. Ripe fruit holds on tree longer than any other stone fruit: two months or more! 600-700 hours. Flavor Queen Pluot® Interspecific Plum Exquisite plum/apricot hybrid with candy-like sweet, wonderfully pleasing flavor. Greenish-yellow skin, amber-orange flesh. Prolonged harvest: mid-July thru August. 400-500 hours. Pollenized by Dapple Dandy Pluot® or Flavor Supreme Pluot® or by a Japanese plum such as Burgundy. Not pollenized by Flavor King Pluot®. Mt. Fuji Flowering Cherry Prunus serrulata 'Mt. Fuji' Early, semi-double white, aging to purplish-pink. Horizontal habit, 20 ft. high.

Yoshino Flowering Cherry Prunus yedoensis 'Yoshino' Early display of light pink to white, fragrant, single blossoms. Fast growth to 40 by 30 ft. Rounded, open canopy with graceful, curving branches. Light gray bark. Glossy, bright green foliage.

Aristocrat® Flowering Pear Pyrus calleryana 'Aristocrat' Showy snow-white blossoms in spring. Attractive glossy foliage turns purplish-red in fall. Fast growing. Pyramidal shape to 40 ft. or more (narrower than Bradford). (Pat. No. 3193)

Western Catalpa Catalpa speciosa Widely adapted - cold or hot climates. All soils. Large, heart-shaped leaves, long seed capsules shaped like beans. White flowers in late spring and summer. Flowers & pods litter beneath tree. 40-60 ft. high.

Western Cottonwood (Cottonless) Populus fremontii (COTTONLESS) (Populus fremontii) Fast-growing to 60 ft. or more, by 30 ft. wide. Shimmering leaves are especially distinctive, orna- mental. Widely adapted, including desert. Yellow fall color. Invasive roots. USDA Zones 6 to 10.

October Glory® Maple Acer rubrum 'PNI 0268' (Acer rubrum ‘PNI 0268’) Nearly round canopy, glossy green foliage. Better suited to mild winter/hot summer climates than other red maples. Showy red fall color. Ample soil moisture required. Reaches 40 by 35 ft. Zones 5-10.

Red Sunset® Maple Acer rubrum 'Franksred' (Acer rubrum ‘HOSR’) Upright growth to 40 ft., oval-shaped canopy. Glossy, dark green leaves. Bright red or orange-red fall color. Ample soil moisture required. USDA Zones 4-9.

Kingan Fruitless Mulberry (Morus alba sp.) Drought tolerant, fast growing vase shaped shade tree. Fruitless. Glossy leaves. 30 to 40 feet. Up to 40 foot spread. Hardy to USDA Zone 6B.

Valley Oak Quercus lobata (Quercus lobata) California White Oak. Native to California’s inland valleys and foothills. Massive trunk and limbs twist into unique shapes. Trees reach 70 ft. or more, equal spread. Dark green, deeply cut lobed leaves, dark gray checked bark. Prefers deep soil, tolerates alkaline soil. USDA Zones 4-10.
