As the name suggests, Honey May is one of the earliest yellow nectarines, ripening in the first half of May and holding firm on the tree longer than most early varieties. Honey May offers a firm, juicy texture and a rich flavor. This self-fertile clingstone consistently produces heavy crops with 90% bright red color. Honey May nectarine has a low winter chilling requirement of approximately 200 hours. (U.S. Plant Patent No. 19363)
