The Honey Punch Pluot® ripens in mid to late August with very sweet, juicy flesh (19 ºBrix). The red-speckled fruit has heavy bloom on the skin and golden flesh with red streaking originating from the skin. Honey Punch is large (35-40), dense and firm to the touch; the fruit hangs well on the tree. The trees are heavy producers and require a pollenizer such as Ebony Rose, Crimson Royale or Dapple Jack. Estimated chilling requirement 700-800 hours. (U.S. Plant Patent No. 19596)
